Last Wednesday, Coline Pannier went to Breda (Netherlands) to give a lecture called “Giving more with Games” at the academy of Creative Media and Game Technologies from the NHTV University of Applied Sciences.
Students from all years and specialities, from art to design and programming, came to hear about the work of Video Games Without Borders and share ideas on doing good with games. They explored together the notions of non-profit publishing in contrast with social enterprises, exchanged on the ins and outs of volunteering and discussed future game development projects.
The “One World, a Million Stories” project received a warm welcome, and quite a few students and members of staff expressed an interest in joining VGWB to help maximize the positive contribution of video games to society.
It was great to see so many interested students!
We hope to be back soon for more collaborations.
