We are proud to announce the first VGWB teaching project, Play Lab: great games from great students!
The idea behind Play Lab is very simple. Since we are operating in developing countries, why not taking the opportunity to collaborate with local universities and teach about video game development? The video game market is huge and video games can be developed everywhere, especially for PC and Android that do not require big investments. This way we hope to help young developers everywhere around the world to enrich the market with their ideas and their talent. Moreover, we encourage the Play Lab games to promote the culture, the traditions or the natural beauties of the country where they are developed.
VGWB plans to distribute the Play Lab games either on its website or on its official App. This way, apart of entertaining our fans, we give visibility to the students work and we promote the development of their country!
The first set of Play Lab games, as well as the official VGWB App, is currently in development in Burkina Faso with the students of the last year of Computer Science at the ESI (Ecole Supérieure d’Informatique) in Bobo-Dioulasso.
